Two things to celebrate: first, I've lost 42 pounds! second, I have no restrictions on food! Merry Christmas!!! I'm so excited!
I've continued to walk 5-6 times a week on our treadmill. I've gone over 1 and 1/2 miles about 5 times now, so my speed is increasing. The exercise therapist wants me to start adding some upper body strength training, too.
The dietician said I can eat anything but MUST be sure to get at least 60 grams of protein a day. I can have salads and fresh fruit (as long as I get my protein from other sources without being too full).
The PA was very pleased with my progress. He said everything is at least 95% healed!
I was so thankful, once again, for your prayers! God is good. I sat in a room with 5 other weight loss surgery patients and 4 of them have had trouble with nausea and vomitting. I'm grateful that's not my case. That was one of my biggest fears!
I have my next appointment on February 15, 2011. My goal is to lose another 20 pounds by then. Please continue to pray for me as I adjust to eating "normal" food again. I feel like I really am "On my Way"!
Carole, you look and sound fabulous! I am so happy for you and your progress. What an inspiration you are. Enjoy your holiday!
